Debit cards?

Are there any problems using debit cards in Disney? Do counter service places accept them? What about the ice cream carts? Please advise and TIA!!!

They should be accepted like any credit card. Just make sure what your daily spending cap is on your card (if you didn't all ready know about that)... I found out the hard way once.

I used my debit card exclusively two weeks ago-helped me keep better track of my spending-as another poster said, make sure you know what your daily "cap" is with your bank. I placed money in my account to cover a Dell computer. Computer price was more then my daily limit-they had to call my banks cs #, o.k. the transaction, it was a pain, all the while I am on hold! The debit card really helps you cut down on silly impulse purchases. Didn;t use it at any food carts but did use it at several counter service rest.

Debit cards are a breeze to use! Some of the carts will not accept them(don't know why).

Be prepared for them to ask for your I.D.

Be sure it has the mastercard or visa logo. I still have 1 that doesn't as well as the one's that do for my checking.

I've embarassingly found out about those limits when I was Christmas shopping 1 year. I don't know if all banks can do it. However, our bank can raise your daily spending limit on your debit card at their discretion. I've had ours raised to double what the norm is.

we use them all over WDW and carry very minimal amounts of cash just in case we come to a cart that doesn't take it. It is so convenient. Not worrying about money falling out of my pockets on rides, etc.
