I currently have a TS booked pre-park opening at CP the same day as our MNSSHP. We have a dinner reservation in park too (forgoing a lunch, we'll most likely snack). But now that I think about it I'm debating on changing to Grand Floridian Cafe or Olivia's. Those are the only two places we would make a switch to. Each places has a specific dish that I'd love to try (DF is an omelette guy, he doesn't really care where we eat as long as he eats ) - Olivia's being the banana bread french toast and GCF being the vanilla bean french toast or any of their omelette options plus eating at GF which is always a plus!

So, from your previous visits to either or all of those restaurants mentioned above, should I keep CP or switch to either GFC or Olivia's?

FWIW: I'm not too worried about being in the park before the welcome show. It's just my DF & myself and we're already going to be there until midnight so none of those factors really matter with decision making :)

Of the 3, I honestly don't recall if I've eaten at CP, but GF Cafe I've enjoyed a couple of times!

I haven't eaten at any of the 3 you listed. I would vote for Kona Cafe in the Poly.

Crystal Palace is good for a PPO, character meal. The food is what you'd expect at a typical, breakfast buffet. If the characters & getting into the park early are insignificant to you, I'd definitely go with one of the other two. We haven't eaten at Olivia's, but I'd choose based on convenience, then menu.

If I were on the DDP I would keep CP for location and value for my credit.
If I am paying OOP I would pick GF Cafe, I love it there, location is good and good TS to pay OOP.
If I have a car Olivia's would be in mix paying OOP but not if using Disney transportation or DDP.

I voted for CP bc we LOVE the ppo ADR and the characters there are great! My kids love Tigger and Pooh...plus the Pooh's Puffed French Toast is YUMMY! CP is by far our favorite place to eat in all of Disney, but I think thats more on a sentimental reason vs a food reason, lol. It was our first character meal on our first trip to Disney when my oldest son was just 3yrs old and since then it has always been our must do favorite every time we go to Disney. Anyways we have never tried the other 2 places but I have heard good things about Olivia's but if you choose Olivia's where does that put you for RD at Magic Kingdom? At least Grand Floridian is close to Magic Kingdom so you shouldn't miss RD by too much and PPO breakfast is amazing

Breakfast at GFC is a must do for us every trip (we enjoy other meals there as well). My DH is addicted to the Vanilla Bean French Toast, I've tried it a few times (Im more of a protein girl for breakfast) and it's super sinful!!! What I love about GFC is that its a very relaxing, quiet, and peaceful breakfast spot- the press pot coffee is nice, bloody mary's are as well, and service is paced to whatever you are that morning. I have had long breakfast there- and also ones where we were trying to make RD. Highly recommend!

We're staying at Poly and have a morning reservation for Kona. I am looking forward to that one! :thumbsup2

Thank you everyone for your recommendations/comments - I appreciate it!

Are you trying to make rope drop? If so, I'd do CP or even GFC. CP would be my first choice, we always enjoy our meal there.

If I were going to be there until midnight, I might also consider sleeping in a bit and doing a later morning breakfast at Olivia's before going over to MK. Maybe around 9:30 or so. I'd also Uber there if you don't have a car, because busing to another resort that time of morning could be time consuming. But if making rope drop or spending most of the morning in MK is more important to you, then I don't think Olivia's is worth the trip.

IMHO, the fact that you're staying a Poly makes this an easier decision. I'd choose GFC, since it appears PPO & characters aren't important to you. Those are the only reasons I would consider Crystal Palace.
