so my question is, does anyone know which mobile company has the best reception in walt disney world?

also, is it true that AT&T is the official mobile company of WDW?

last time we were there, we had SIMs that used the T-Mobile system and we had TERRIBLE reception in the resort. I wonder if it has improved. And i wonder if AT&T is any better (as that's also available to us, just for a lot more money).

so many decisions....

AT&T is the company at Disney

we got a three pay as you go sim & it came with free data & no roaming charges

When we got to the Orlando we just choose to connect to the AT& T network & had no problems with it

I just payed £5 a day o2 travel, you just send a text to opt in. Probably not the cheapest option, but completely hassle free, no messing about with SIM cards and different numbers etc. £5 a day gets unlimited data/calls/texts. Never had any issues with internet or signal anywhere.

I always get a 3 Sim Monthly Contract the week before we go, then cancel it as soon as we get back in the UK, £20 for unlimited data out there - I use it as Sat Nav, order Ubers, MDE etc etc

Always force the network to be AT&T while I am out there. T-Mobile is atrocious!

sadly, i'm not located in the UK, so the various offers mentioned here aren't available to us..
but based on the comments here, i'm going to make sure that whatever we get, uses the AT&T network there...

thanks!

We have US t-mobile SIMs and never have any problem with signal in Disney - usually get LTE coverage :)

Maybe the T-Mobile agreement with foreign networks has a lower speed attached for data. I know it is possible for them to throttle speeds when roaming

our problem was the voice coverage, not data..
we couldn't get reception at all inside the resort room....and outside wasn't so great either...

I had coverage for voice inside WL as I spoke to DH who was at home most days and I also took a voice call on the boat to MK :thumbsup2

Most of the major US networks will be fine, we are on AT&T and have had no problems anywhere on site. You can simply purchase an AT&T sim card and connect that way, I personally have a few AT&T pre-pay phones (called GoPhone) for when my parents come out to visit. AT&T is the usual GSM network so should work interchangeably with a UK based phone so long as it isn't locked on your network from your current provider. The problem with US based phone companies is that you get charged for making AND receiving texts, calls etc... This is something that a lot of people from other parts of the world don't count on. You cannot control people texting you or calling but yet you get charged for them all the same.

If you have a smart phone you can sign on to the wi-fi networks and use online based coms like WhatsApp etc...

we don't buy US plans as we want unlimited free calls home. None of the american plans have that.
