It seems the person jumped from a high location onto a viewing deck (not onto the monorail track). So we can’t say for certain if it was accidental or not.

Apparent Suicide at Contemporary Resort in Walt Disney World​

As we reported earlier this evening, a body was removed from Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. According to an update from News 6 WKMG, “The sheriff’s office later told News 6 that the incident is an apparent suicide.”

Reports of multiple sheriff units at the Contemporary Resort and crime scene tape had been set up at the service entrance.


According to News 6 the call data shows the sheriff’s office received the report about the dead body around 6:40 p.m. along North World Drive, which begins just south of US-192 and runs past Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Contemporary Resort and Wilderness Lodge.

The sheriff’s office later told News 6 that the incident is an apparent suicide.

It appears something else is going on at Bay Lake Tower this time. People are reporting 1st floor windows being blocked off from guests. It appears to be an incident at the pool.

Emergency Services Spotted by Bay Lake Tower at Disney World​

Reports of police presence at Disney’s Contemporary Resort confirm that an incident requiring emergency services occurred earlier this morning. Dozens of police vehicles, a fire truck, and an ambulance were reportedly onsite, and select entrances to Bay lake Tower were temporarily closed.

Personnel reportedly taped off the courtyard area between the lobby and pool at Bay Lake Tower, as seen in a Tiktok video posted by @aiotfamily. Scaffolding and towel carts were installed/used to block the scene from onlookers. A small white tent was evidently set up as well, and other personnel were also on scene to assist.

While still unconfirmed, guests online have posted comments claiming personnel knocked on room doors to inform them not to look off the balcony, while others suggested that employees were posted at several windows to shield guests from looking out the back side of the tower.

As for what exactly occurred, it is unclear at this time.

Wouldn’t knocking in a guest’s door and informing the em not to look outside just cause the opposite? I would totally be looking at the window. But this is terribly sad.

Yes, that's believed to be a natural death. People die in all kinds of places. I think it was earlier this month a woman died on Haunted Mansion at DL.

I would too. But if I was there with young children, I would appreciate having been alerted to keep them from looking.

Walt Disney World Guest Pronounced Dead After Medical Episode​

Had a death at Fort Wilderness too?

His wife called 911 about 7:30 AM Tuesday, and an AED was used at the resort but the gentleman was not declared until he was transported to AdventHealth Celebration and pronounced dead at 8:26 AM.

The deceased had a history of hypertension and end-stage liver disease. There were no signs of injury, trauma, or drug use observed at the scene.

Hopefully the “run of 3”will be done. Healthcare worker and we’ve always been superstitious about things coming in 3’s. Thoughts with all the families.
