Dear VMK, regarding new quest

Thanks for all the great prizes in the new quest, but I dont think you will be giving many away.

You have to have 8 people in a pirates game, and as soon as the game begins about 4 people crash. Than they are replaced with AI's, that give no points.

Even if someone does get through the pirates game with that score, what do you have next for us?

60,000 in jungles cruise?
250 ghosts in Mansion game?
10,000 in fireworks?

What a great joke to play on everyone, maybe you should add flying carpet magic as a prize.

According to Phinny we don't have to worry about fireworks. It doesn't really matter though as it doesn't appear that anyone is going to advance past task 16 with all this lag.

So far, one player has scored 617 in Ship Battle. I don't know if that player was on the quest or advanced after that task, but it is posted on vmk's home page. Let's hope more players can get that score! And kudos to Ineedafriend for getting such a great score!

Gas: VMK doesn't much care, for if they did it would be easier for those to whom this game is geared towards, the 8-14 year olds. Show me an 8 year old who has the patience to fight the lag, find seven other players willing to bite the bullet in pirates, and can understand the clues given....

Why does Fin think we don't have to worry about fireworks? because no one will get to that part, or its easy for all 8-14 year olds to score 10,000 in fireworks? I have no idea what they want for the other mini games in scores. but gshawens right, they missed throwing in carpet magic, OMG! what ever will we do!

I think we should be calling this the APRIL FOOLS QUEST. I have never ever seen such issues as today. Running this difficult quest PLUS another quest PLUS a host room. So you've got ppl stampeding all over vmk causing lag and dc. It goes to show you the amount of thought towards the players. Yea great prizes, but who gets them? I only see one guy on the pirates board that hit the goal needed in task 16, congrats Friend .

I'm not usually one to complain, and I'm totally up for the challenge of completing this quest. My beef is with the crashing, is there ANYTHING I
can do to not crash each time I enter a game?

Will a new computer help? I'll go get one tomorrow if that's all it will take!!!

i so totally agree! i dont think this quest would be so bad though, if we didn't crash every time we ever go some where.

I have no problem with the score, but it is almost impossible to achieve with all the players crashing.

I have the high score of 648.

But I pulled a Grace and didn't turn my Q back on after finishing the other mini quest.

So now I have to try again. Oy.

Yes, it was friendly in the sense that all 8 players knew how to make it work.

I was the designated winner on the pirates side.

One player on Port was the shooter on his side. He killed my people. I killed his. Then I used gold on him to take his credits. Oh, we did use health a bit, too.

Second round. Kept him and another Port player alive. Killed him for credits, left the other player alive and got myself Krakened. (Lost some credits, not terrible.)

Third round, same as first. It worked. It'll be great if everyone knows the plan and nobody crashes.

I'm always up for a good challenge, but the crashing is making it impossible to even attempt to get that score in pirates. I crash every time we enter a game, and obviously many of us are having that same problem. That aside, I don't know how any young kids will get through this without some major help, and we can't help if we can't even get into a game of pirates. I see much disappointment. And only running it this short of a time span...I know that's how things are in vmk, but a quest of this magnitude, as many players as possible should at least have a chance to try it. I have at least one friend away right now who definitely be missing the chance to try the quest.
