jwann: I think I read somewhere, that after you have been registered about a month? a line comes up on your user page I think under your birthdate line and you can add your own tag then.
I think I also read that if you have a tag from the tag fairy not to mess with this line because then you will lose your tag fairy tag.
I read this not too long ago so maybe you could look back in the posts about tag fairies and find out how to do it.
