I saw this teeshirt in a store yesterday and it totally cracked me up.

What's your best story from kids (teen or adults) visiting santa?

Mine:
When DS was 7, he walked up to Santa very shyly and stood near not sure if it was OK to sit on his lap. When santa asked him if he'd been good this year his reponse: "Ummm... not really... " My response: OK, at least my kid's honest - he gets bonus points for that right?

I've seen a sign saying "Define good". That is SO my dd.

We were at an Xmas celebration in an outdoor shopping area when Santa walked by and asked ds (7) if it was cold enough outside for him. Ds replied, "Yes, but I am sure you are pretty warm under that fake beard." Ds knows mall Santas aren't real, and I'll have to give it to him on this one- it was a pretty fake looking beard!

My parents belong to a social club that has a "Santa's Breakfast" every year where one of the older members of the club dresses up as Santa and takes present requests from all the kids. As a result, I ended up with a number of odd Santa stories from my youth.

My parents love to tell the one about how when I was about 6 or so I patiently waited in line, sat on Santa's knee, recited to him my primary gift requests and then hopped off saying "Thanks Mr. ______!", having very obviously recognized one of my parents' good friends playing the part.

When I was a bit older (7th grade) I and a number of the older kids recognized that our school's 8th grade math teacher was playing the role. We were all far too old to sit on Santa's knee anymore, but we all contrived to do so and each of us asked for an 'A' in math. Believe it or not, he actually gave each of us a free A on an assignment. One of the many reasons why, to this day, he is still my favorite teacher.
