Dear Disney,

Due to your on-line ADR system not allowing me to make my 180 day mark reservations....so I had to call and make them and spend 2 hours doing it (I hate calling and doing it)...
I have taken a cue from your new cancellation policy and charged you 10 dollars for each reservation I could not make on-line.
You may apply this to my balance on my trip.
Thank you! ;o)

I am not quite sure what this is about i never had any issues with online ADR's unless the system was down and if that was the case you wouldnt be able to phone them in either and that has only happened once. are you sure you were at the 180 day mark? Or where you doing the 180 + 10 if so you would have had to sign in and retrieve your reservation or put your reservation number in the system in order to get the ADR's:confused3

I am speaking of the 180 plus 10...and I was signed in with my reserv. number...it even pulled up the reserv. for the hotel, etc. But when booking the dining it said it could not find it...even though I was signed in. When I called, I booked them just fine...just had to deal with the extra time it took to do that. There are a few other threads going on the same subject...so I'm not alone...so tell that smilie to go shrug at the online system. ;o)

OK

Let me ask you something. Is there any reservations that you wanted and did not get?

I still have some to make past the 180 plus 10...but everything so far is EXACTLY what I wanted within 10 minutes of when I wanted it...so that part is great. I was just venting thru a joke with this post. I HATE callin in to make the adr's...it just takes sooooo much longer and its much easier to see choices on-line. :o)

OP, I get what your saying. It is insane that it doesn't work correctly. It didn't work for me correctly either. You think that could take some of those $10 late fees and put it towards a regular working system.

I tried to make on-line ADR's today also. I never could get the system to recognize my resort confirm#. Had to wait to get to work before I could call them. (I only have a cell phone with a limited minutes package) Spending 2 hours on the phone trying to get all the ressies while I'm at work is not very professional. Disney's IT dept really needs to get it together with their website. Way too many problems.

:rotfl2: I should have done that too. When I booked my ADRs in December it never recognized my reservation in the system. I had to call but then the CM screwed up my ADRs because she never linked them with my telephone number so I couldn't pull them up online.:headache:

Anyhow I ended up calling again to cancel those and just went online each day. I still got all my ADRs I wanted, now just hoping they cancelled them correctly and I don't come back from my vacation in June with all these NO SHOW Fees:rolleyes1

It has been happening lately and I even emailed Disney but just received a canned response.

The online system wouldn't work for me either. It sounds like this a system wide issue. I was frustrated at having to call because I have laryngitis, and I know the CM struggled to hear my whispers. Thankfully, she was kind and the process didn't take very long, but it sure would have been easier for both of us to make the ressies online.

Yup...us too! It couldn't link our resort reservation to our dining, so we weren't allowed to book out of 180 days. Had to "old-skool" it and actually use the phone:sad2:...luckily, we got a very competent person and it was actually probably faster than booking online. Some were "credit card reserved" and all seemed to link to our reservation when we pulled it up afterwards....WHEWWWW!!! Still, it was quite a shock when you plan & plan and wake up with that "only Disney lovers know" anticipation, and you get the dreaded "error" message. UGH...really Disney?...you would think that they of all companies would have a usable website. It truly is the worst! But, do we still love Disney more than even imaginable...YES!!!! Got all our resies the old fashioned way....:cool1:

I'm having the same issue now too :( I woke up early and everything to book but it is unable to confirm my resort reservation! Mad!!!

I know the phone lines are open at 7 AM EST. What time is computer booking available at 180 days?

I too am having trouble :( I can log in to retrieve ALL reservation info but can't book dining..thanks OP for clarifying they are open at 7am making my call in just a few bc I don't want to risk CRT being booked! Disney should really work on this though!

I have a thread on the DVC Forum that talks about this same issue......I HEARD it has been an ongoing problem for DVC reservations, but did not realize that it affects ALL Disney resort reservations!?!?!

So therefore,
HAS ANYONE BEEN ABLE TO BOOK DINING RESERVATIONS ONLINE FOR 180+10 LATELY?????

I could not book further out than 180 this week when I tried. I ended up calling too. Mine is a DVC reservation, and I had heard that there were issues, so I was not surprised.

I am having the same problem! We have the deluxe plan and I spent over an hour on the phone making just our breakfast reservations. It is such an aggrevation to have to listen to the same spiel (arrive at the restaurant 15 minutes early, park admission required, etc) over and over. I did not realize that everyone was having the same issue. I sent an email to Disney but, of course, it said I would receive a response in 7 days. I think we have all spent enough money with them that they could get this problem fixed!
I don't know why Disney always seems to lag on technology when it comes to its customers. The parks are great but look how long it has taken to get wi-fi at the resorts? That is just a standard at most other cheap hotels. They have just in the past couple of years started offering online check-in but many larger chain hotels now offer self check-in. How nice would that be for those of us who go every year?
Sorry I got off on a bit of a tangent

OP here. After scheduling lunch at Akershus over the phone and given an 11 am lunch...which I said several times...that sounds too early for lunch...I think thats still breakfast...and hearing...no, no its lunch...that indeed phone person scheduled me for breakfast instead of lunch...so had to call back and cancel that and re-schedule for lunch. Ugh.
Can we not add a smilie on here that is throwing a phone against a wall?
;o)

UGH! This is exactly what happened to me in June 2010, and it is now making me totally scratch the idea of even ATTEMPTING to use the online system this year. I hate calling!:guilty:

I have been able to make a total of 4 ADR's using the online system for booking. I called to add the Fantasmic package last night & it took forever for the castmember to book, so I did not make any other ressies.

I thought it was my computer giving me flak. Atleast now I know its not just me!
