I'm looking to get the XBox 360 for my dd's... Older dd has been asking for it for a while, and with the new system coming out, was hoping I could get a good deal.

I know someone had posted a $239 amazon 250gb kinect bundle deal and now I'm REALLY kicking myself for not jumping on that.

Anyone know any other deals out there?

Unfortunately (well not really lol) I won't be able to take advantage of any Black Friday deals (we'll be in disney that week), so would really like to find a deal now.

Thanks for any help, :)

Amazon has Xbox 360 E 4GB Kinect Holiday Value Bundle for $249

Ok, that one could work out well. Thanks! I see if I buy that, it comes with a $50 amazon promotional credit. Is that good on anything Amazon sells?

I so, I could buy a 260gb hard drive for $55 ($5 using the credit), and only pay about $15 more than the original $239 250gb deal.

Anyone know how their credits work? And is this the newer slim model? (Would need it to be to fit the hard drive I'm looking at).

You might not even need the extra room on the hard drive. We have a 4 gb and I don't think they have used all of that yet. I do know they delete stuff but I'm not sure what it is they delete. I can ask him when he gets home but you should do a search to see if you even need to get the hard drive.

Last year I bought my Kinect bundle from the Microsoft store online on BF. The price I paid (with two extra games) was in the $250-279 range. I would expect they would have an even better deal this year.

Do you have a lot of space in the room you plan on using your Kinect? We hardly use ours because of the space required for the camera to get a good read on the players. It can be frustrating. I even bought the Kinect Zoom attachment and the mount for the top of my TV and things only got slightly better. They are not kidding when they specify how much space you need to easily operate the thing.

Thanks for the heads-up about the room needed for this system. I did look into that, and it says to work properly, you need to stand about 6 feet from the sensor.

I measured our room and we'll be standing approximately 6-7 feet away from it, so hoping it'll work out ok. If I have to, I can mount it behind (and above) the tv, which would give us another 1-2 feet.

I went ahead and bought it tonight off of Amazon. Got the 4gb one with 2 games, for $249, and it includes a $50 amazon credit (which i'll definitely use since I usually buy 90% of christmas gifts off of amazon). So it'll turn out to be $199 for the xbox system then. I'm hoping they credit me the $50 by Saturday. If they do, I'll use it for a 12-month xbox gold membership (which until saturday includes a $20 xbox store gift card).

Soooo if I can get the timing to work out right, for the $249, I'll have a 4gb xbox kinect (with 2 games), 12-month xbox gold membership, and a $20 xbox live gift card.
Pretty good deal imo.

Thanks everyone for the input!

I bought the 4g Xbox 360 from Amazon for $179 plus $50 promotional credit about a month ago. I was able to use the credit for regular items sold by Amazon and Subscribe & Save orders. Figured if we need more memory space then I would buy more and have seen the Kinect used for $20. We already have a Wii so I didn't want to invest too much $.

"have seen the Kinect used for $20"

Was this a local deal? I am looking for the Kinect & LOVE this price. Can anyone tell me if Disney's Infinity game uses the Kinect?

Costco currently has Xbox 360 250GB Deluxe Bundle with Darksiders 2, Batman Arkham City and Xbox Essentials Kit for $249. No Kinect but but 250gb hard drive and extra controller, HDMI cable and remote are useful.
