Why am I addicted to this mindless game???

(could it be the numbers girls??? :thumbsup2 )

It's not the numbers girls for me - but I like the show too! Howie isn't nearly as annoying as he used to be. Some of these contestants are reeealy greedy!

It is fun t watch but I agree there is really no strategy to it.

its like that really popular gameshow from the 70's where they opened packages. I am addicted to it to.

I remember that show........what was it called. I think Geoff Edwards was the host. BTW I love Deal or No Deal too.

My whole family is addicted to this show. My DS 8 and 10 shout no deal at the tv during the whole show. I tried to make it somewhat educational by explaining money and how the deal vs. what is left on the board, what is a good deal to take, and they totally ignore me!! They just keep yelling no deal!

Oh well

Our whole family loves it! Very addictive to us! I'm a deal kind of girl and my DH and kids are no deals.

That show was called The New Treasure Hunt (game show junkie checking in here ;) )

My kids and I like this game too...

Has anyone actually won the million yet?

I was reading this on EOnline this morning...cracked me up.
Don't worry - this is NOT a spoiler - and it will never be shown on tv...

From Leslie: I am so hooked on Deal or No Deal, I can't watch reality shows
that torment people or encourage backstabbing (I can get that at work).
Howie really gives the contestants good advice and encouragement.

Okay, but how's this for some crazy dish? I heard that while they were
shooting an episode with beauty-pageant queens, one of them passed out,
fell on her tightly sculpted *bum* and flung the suitcase across the floor,
where it flew open and all the contents inside of it spilled out. For legal
reasons, they had to start the whole show over again. And you know all it
would have taken was a bite of a Tic Tac to save the day.

People are so greedy! I was watching a couple weeks ago when this lady was offered a deal of over $100,000. She wouldn't take it because the odds looked good to get more. But that still would have been $100,000 more than she walked in with, with no risk at all!!! I think she ended up with a few hundred bucks. Then the rationalizing began: "But we had fun! That's what counts." Ha, like you won't be reliving this hour over and over again at 2 o'clock in the morning for the rest of your life.

My DH says I would wuss out and take the first deal offered me--even if it was like $25,000 and all the big numbers were still up there. Hey, $25,000 is nothing to sneeze at, when it's just HANDED to you.
  That's something to banana to!

I remember the guy who walked out with $7. He said something like "well, I'll treat you to McDonald's tonight!" I think something happens to people when they get up there that makes them go crazy. And I've always thought it was interesting that a lot of times the kids say deal when the adults say no deal.

I love the show! I like the quirky things that happen too. One night there was a marriage proposal, another time the contestant broke the cover of the red button and they had to tape it back on, and also somebody once broke the phone! LOL

Its funny, my DS (age 2) says "Oh, Deal!" when he sees the show is on. Well... at least its not Elmo. :)

My wife and I like to watch the show and pick our own briefcase at the start of each round. On the last show, I picked the million dollar briefcase. With my luck, had I been on the show, I probably would have sold it for a couple thousand bucks.

I'm hooked on that show too. DH & I both scream at T.V. I'm more cautious and holler DEAL!!

Love the show. Apparently Howie mentioned on Monday night that there was going to be an Deal or No Deal electronic game coming out this summer.
Now that would fun :woohoo:
