Deadline to customize Magic Bands on MDE?

We arrive at WDW on May 25th, so 76 days away. My daughter and I have previous Magic Bands from our trip in November. On MDE, the option to order and customize Magic Bands for DH and DS is not showing up. Is it too late at this point customize them and they will just be shipping whatever they choose?

Are you staying onsite somewhere? From your countdown, it's hard to tell if you are staying at an onsite resort.

I just booked today for my trip in 9 days, and I was able to pick colors for our bands...we'll see if they actually arrive at the house or resort, and if they'll be our chosen colors, or the sad gray!

Sorry, my countdown is set for our trip to Disney's HHI in April, but for this trip that I'm trying to get magic bands for is in May and we are staying at AKL. Our reservation is showing up in MDE. I didn't think I had missed the deadline, but still wondering why I can't find the option!

Using the app, go to My Profile > MagicBands and Cards and see if MB Customization is showing up in that area.

Can't help with much except to let you know our arrival date is May 25th and our "customize by" date is April 24th.

If they aren't showing up for customization, make sure you actually listed them on the reservation.

You have until 30 days before your trip to customize. If they are listed on your reservation, go to your "Magic Bands and Cards" page on MDE. In the area above your other active bands there should be someplace to click to customize your bands.

I was confused by this because I didn't realize our bands from 2013 were still showing as active on MDE.

Hmmm and now that I'm looking at my account I don't see my son's MB listed. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that he has his own MDE account. It does say that 4 bands have shipped to me, but only 3 are showing up.

Now I'm confused again.

You have until 30 days before your trip to customize.

It's way closer to the trip that you can customize. I could customize from pretty much the moment I made my dvc reservation until I want to say two weeks out for shipping. I customized within a week for bands that they simply had waiting for me at checkin.

Not sure exactly what was confusing. But it's totally normal for old bands to be there. I was able to open doors (no-parks trip; that's all I needed my bands to do) with all but one of my bands. I have 13 and only the grey one I got at checkin (bc I couldn't find the shipped one that first day) our first MB trip in 2013 didn't work for that. The customized one from that trip (that I found when I unpacked) worked fine.

Never mind. Found it under My Profile. Could have sworn previously they were on the index.

All of his Profile data is linked to his MDE and can only be seen in his account. His MDE is linked to yours for trip planning; you can't manage his Profile info so only he can see his MB and Card info.

Thank you. That makes sense. He did check his account and it does show his MB.

I've been logging into my MDE account every day, and when I logged in today, suddenly the option to customize the magic bands was there! Not sure what changed, but happy we get to choose our colors!
