Deadline for adding dining plan to a package?

Trying to help a friend plan an upcoming trip and she has a question about the dining plan that I can't answer. We usually don't do the dining plan because in the past it never worked out to be a good deal for us, so I told her I would try to find this out. She has a package right now, room and tickets, but no dining. She is considering adding the dining plan to her package. If she does the math and decides to do that, when is the latest she can add it? Can she do it just a few days before check in? Or is there an earlier cut-off for adding the dining plan to an existing package? I tried to search and google this question, but I'm seeing some conflicting answers. Anybody know for sure? Thanks!

I believe it has to be done at least 48 hours prior to check in date.

72 hours for a MYW package. 48 hours for DVC.

Make sure she knows to make her desired ADR's prior to her trip. Having DDP credits does not guarantee TS availability. It would be a huge waste to add the DDP 72 hours prior to her trip if she couldn't use the credits.
