Deadbeat dads and moms who withhold visitation should both be viewed with contempt. They both have a responsibility to their children to support them and to parent them. And a parent should never be just a paycheck. I still think the system is harder on cracking down on deadbeat dads than on vindictive moms. Hopefully that is changing. Just for example in a lot of places the mom can move to another state without consulting the dad and in essence reduce his visitation significantly.

My male friend who had sole custody of his son with the ex getting limited visitation and paying no support had to go before a judge and make a case before he was allowed to leave the state with the boy. ETA: In court the ex gave him permission to leave the state.

My male cousin and his ex both have to remain in the same school district to keep join custody. If one leaves the area the other is automatically granted sole custody. He pays support and has the kids more than 50% of the time.

One needs to know what is going on today not 10+ years ago. The rules have changed and the women only has the upper hand when the kids are very little and she was a SAHM before.

I agree that the "system" is more concerned with the cash flow. And that all children deserve to have two active parents (I said that on page 1)
