He starts in January - he's very excited! My daughter has her phone interview tonight - keep the pixie dust flying - I *think" I finally see the Disney gene coming out in her - it's been hiding waaaayyy too long.;) :)

I would love to be a CM, but they don't use european students :(

They use them all the time...but the catch is that you have to from one of the countries in World Showcase. When I did the College Program (far too long ago) my roommates were from Germany, Norway, Italy, China and France. It was terrific. Sadly, now they put Americans with Americans and Internationals with Internationals.

Good luck to your DD! The CP is such an awsome experience. I hope to go back this summer for my 4th.

I know, but I'm not from one of those countries!!! They were planning on getting Danes to work in the International Program last year, but Disney cancelled the meetings!!! quite sad!
Right now Danes can only work in DLP or at the cruises!!!

Make sure they bring plenty of money with them. I think I have sent my Son over $ 500.00 to help him get by and he still has a month and 1/2 to go.

DN is considering it. She spoke to the representative on campus last week, but she's still not sure. I believe she has another interview next week.

My daughter is 12 -but just for future reference -how does it work?
Do they work one semester or what?

This is how the CP works. You go down for a semester, or a semester and the summer. You work in one of the 4 parks, a water park, DTD, or a resort. There is housing available for the students. It is such a good experience.

So they're basically just working as CM's? Wouldn't they be losing a semester of school to do that?

Well, a CP technically is a CM. But it is an internship, so a lot of schools give credit to do the program. So it evens out.

Oh, so DN would get college credits for running a ride? Wow, that sure beats taking tests and reading!

Tell me about it! I missed 2 semesters to do 2 CPs, and got credits for both of them. It was awsome.
