DD's Field Trip to Quebec Is Canceled

Another war casualty - DD was supposed to go to Quebec City in June with a group of French students from school. Just found out it's canceled. She's bummed. I guess we'll get all but $25 of our money refunded - thankfully I've already paid $360. I sure hope this world becomes a safer place soon, it's sad that these kids look forward to their trips, only to have them axed at the last minute.

I assume by French students you mean students who study French and not students <i>from</i> France?

I'm so sorry your daughter's trip was cancelled. I know she is very disappointed.

Why shouldn't you received a refund of the full amount you paid? <i>You</i> didn't cancel the trip, why should you be penalized?

probably a fee to the travel company that is non-refundable. Not the travel company's fault that the school is cancelling. Probably not the school's call either but the local school board and it is not coming out of their pocket.
