When we found out we were having DD we bought a really nice crib. One that could be turned into a crib, toddler bed, twin bed and a full bed. We figured since she was the "last" we would get nice furniture that would last her forever. The other kids all got hand-me-downs (DS has hubby's old furniture from when he was a kid DD has her aunt's set) We bought the dresser etc. to match. Great right...the style has been around for years. A standard we were told.....NOPE we called to get the "youth bed" kit today and were told..."they no longer make any of the kits" this means no toddler bed, no twin bed. They think they can locate a full size conversion kit but it is going to be very $$$$. DARN. We ended up going and getting her a little DORA toddler bed ($39.99)...she is thrilled I am mad as I wanted her room to match. Oh well, I just needed to vent. DH just does not understand why I wanted everthing to match and be pretty. I know I sound like a spoiled brat but I am just a little disappointed. The CRIB 4 LIFE (That is what it was called can you believe it CRIB 4 LIFE) turned out to be a crib for 2 years. Oh well, DD is THRILLED with her pink, plastic Dora bed. She was climbing out of the crib so we needed a bed. I love the idea of the toddler bed. We didn't use one with the other kids. Thanks for letting me vent!
