Last night DD11 told be she wanted---

an iPod

and something else expensive I couldn't hear because of my laughter :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Looks familiar. Those are the same things my kids are wishing for. :rotfl:

the 4th thing was probably her own digital camera
:)

good luck!

That is the same list as my DD11. We got her a tracfone for her birthday already last August. She is getting the digital camera from Grandma for our vacation. The rest she can keep on asking and start saving. :rotfl2:

For my 10 & 11 yr olds sons you can add:
Robosapien V2 (he's around $250 instead of a mere $100)
Roboraptor
Robopet
Go-Carts & ATVs both would be great but either will do
PS - whatever the latest & greatest version is & XBOX to go with the GameCube they already have. :rotfl:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
My standard reply is "yeah, but what do you want that I might actually buy"

Oh don't let me forget the IGUANA :earseek: :earseek: I did a little research thinking an iguana was similar to a gnewt - NOT. Those suckers should be allowed to roam freely in your house & become HUGE! Told him he could have one - when he grows up & moves out!

I thought I was the only parent laughing at their kid's list! My DD, also 11, would like:

a camera phone
a flat-screen TV for her room
surround sound system for said TV

And let's not forget the American Girl stuff:
Felicity's horse & carriage
Felicity's table & china

And this is on her standing Christmas list:
A Siamese cat

And that's just the expensive stuff!!! :rotfl:

That was it!!!!!! She wanted a small one that could fit in her pocket!!! :rotfl2:

If it helps... I bought a 1GB iPod shuffle for my soon to be 15 year old sister's birthday and Christmas gift since she was born on Christmas Eve. It was $99 from pcmall.com. It was the cheapest one that I found that had enough storage to make it worth while. The difference between the 512 MB and 1GB model was $20.

I plan to wrap it in 1/2 Christmas paper and 1/2 birthday paper.

BTW, all of these lists seem reasonable from a 1-12 yo's perspective. My DS (10) wants an iPod, a bunch of $50 PS2 games, and an electric guitar, to name a few. DD wants less expensive things, but she really wants an iZ but that looks like you need an iPod before you can play the iZ.

My 11 year old DS asked for a big screen TV, computer and a Bose Wave radio

He wishes LOL :rotfl:

I feel for all of you, my ten year old has a similar list however... I think I've settled on getting the Leapfrog Fly Pentop for him....

My list:
Digital Camera
Banquet dress
Gift Cards

I am usually happy about anything I get, atleast now I am.. Now that im 14 I like whatever.

yep
and the smaller they are, the more $$$$ they are.

heheh...again - good luck!

wait until "tiffany jewelry" makes the list!

dd is 10. I haven't gotten a list yet but... Holy cow. I don't think she would be bold enough to ask for the cell phone. She would love to have one but won't ask. She has a flat screen tv (not a flat tv to hang on the wall). That was last years christmas gift. She doesnt know it but christmas budget is minimal this year. She is getting very practical gifts. She is getting a desk chair, getting all the stuff so we can redo her bedroom in pink/purple/fur which includes comforter, sheets, bedskirt, curtains, pillows, shams. We'll leave the painting/border if she choices till spring. She is getting one board game, one ninetendo DS game, dance mat & ps2 game for the dance mat. She is also getting a new sleeping bag (she is too tall for hers) and pjs.

I am a bargain shopper and am chasing down some good deals. Budget is $300 bucks for her & $200 for her 2 yr old sister. DD2 is getting princess sleeping bag/chair, aqua doodle mat, bookcase for her room, cinderella doll, cinderella dvd, pjs, charlie & lola books, cabbage patch newborn, and a couple other items.

So far the only thing our kids have asked for is a dog (well, DD really wants a cat but DS13 is allergic to them so she will settle for a dog). We will see.

Now I wouldn't mind a big screen tv.

My DD10 asked for a cell phone for her birthday. After we stopped :rotfl2: :rotfl2: , I pointed out to her that her friends would run up her minutes big time, asking such questions as, "What was the math assignment?" (5 minutes later), "What was the math assignment again?" etc., etc. She has a friend that already does this on our land line, and drives DD nuts!

Mostly for Christmas, she's been asking for things from her favorite geek catalogs. you know, the CSI Forensics lab, fingerprint kit, puzzle books, algebra books--geek stuff. I can't complain--at least it's educational, but ka-ching, ka-ching!

My DD's (ages 9 and 11) both want Sony PSP's. Last year they got laptops and it was definitely money well spent because they use them all the time. They were only $400 each and came with free color printers. They also want clothes and Heelys.
