We are celebrating DD's 4th birthday & want to have a special meal for her on her birthday. We are nearing the 180-day mark for ADR's. She loves any of the princesses and, of course, Mickey Mouse. We were thinking about Cinderella's Royal Table, but we are open to any other suggestions. What do you all think?

We have had DD's last two birthday meals at Boma (and one coming up on Saturday-she'll be 5). It's her favorite restaurant, and we usually order her a special drink, let her pick out whatever she wants from the buffet (she generally likes the prime rib and roasted potatoes, but tries a lot of different things) and if you tell them it is her birthday, the chefs will usually bring out a special dessert, either a special mickey cupcake, assorted chocolate candies, deep-fried Oreos (which are awesome), etc., and the chef comes out and says hi to the birthday girl. For this year, we also ordered a cake from the Cake hotline to add to the celebration. O'Hana also does some pretty neat stuff for the birthday person (it's where I had my birthday). If you time your ADR right, and tell the host/hostess that you have a birthday and you are willing to wait a few more minutes for a table with a view of the fireworks, you usually will wind up with a table with a view of Wishes. It's pretty nice.

If your daughter loves Cinderella and Prince Charming and her mice(forget their names), 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian was awesome for our DD's birthday last year. They give you a keepsake placemat with some of the characters signatures. We even ordered a cake ahead of time and is was really delicious!:flower3:

We did the Princess Breakfast @ Norway in Epcot, with all the Princesses.
(Aukerhouse?) The room was good and our Princess & Prince had a great time.
They were all there.
(I don't think dad had to bad of a time either;)

Thank you all for your replies. I know DD wants to see Cinderella, but I read on another post where someone recommended not doing a character meal for the birthday. I'm not sure what to do. I never had any of these problems with my boys! :lmao:

The Akerhaus in Norway at Epcot is great. We did it for lunch last year and there a Princess photo op before being seated (Princess Aurora for us, but changes daily) and then Cinderella, Snow White, Belle and Ariel came to our table. Character interaction is good and food is buffet style for starters, table service for main course and yummy family style desserts....
Gets the thumbs up from us :thumbsup2
The picture below is taken there.

We did the 1900 Park Fare character dinner for my daughter's 6th birthday and she loved it. She was so excited to see Cinderella with Prince Charming. Prince Charming brought her out a Happy Birthday Crown and we also had a cake delivered to our table. Having a buffet style dinner was great too because she was too excited to sit still - food was a nice distraction! :thumbsup2

You all are such a great help. Why I am negotiating with a 3 year-old, I'll never know. :confused3 Here's where we stand: she wants to eat her birthday cake in Cinderella's castle, but she also wants Ariel to be there. I'm sure Disney won't mind!:rotfl:

Maybe we can do the Princess Breakfast, then just have her cake at dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.

I'm starting to think that we're making a serious mistake - 4th birthday at Disney? What in the world is she going to expect for her 5th?

I swear - with 2 boys, I've never had so much drama. :upsidedow

Depending on what time she generally goes to bed, what about California Grill with an ADR about 60 - 70 minutes before Wishes? Imagine getting her birthday cupcake delivered right before the lights dim for viewing of the fireworks!!

You could always have her birthday dinner at CRT (IMO, for a little girl, eating in the castle is the best thing in the world!), and then tell her that Ariel is in her grotto and waiting to meet her after dinner.

Just check the times guide to see when Ariel will be at her grotto, and then head over at the next available time after you eat!

Make sure you grab a birthday pin at guest relations for your DD to wear! She will get extra special treatment, especially from characters which I bet she'll love! :cutie:

We did our daughter's 4th birthday at 1900 Park Fare last summer and it was just perfect! We ordered a cake ahead of time so that it was personalized,a nd it was just priceless to see her get Happy Birthday wishes from Cinderella! They gave her a little crown to wear that said Happy Birthday and a special birthday placemat. We all had a great time! I would highly reccommend it! Good Luck!
