I am hoping some experienced moms (and dads) can help us make the most our trip. I have been to WDW more times than I can count- even worked there in college. There is nothing I love more than walking through the turnstiles and seeing the castle at the end of Main street:love:
We are planning to take our DD for the 1st time Dec 10-11- she will be 18 months at that time. We are relatively local so the short amount of time is no biggie for us. This will also be our "babymoon" since I will be 7 months pregnant with DC#2. We also did our 1st babymoon at WDW in 2006- we hit MK, Epcot and AK all in one day no problem.
We are staying at WL and have a 5:35 res at CRT on the 10th. Other than that our plans are up in the air. What holiday events are a "can't miss" with an 18 month old? Should we try to see the lights at MGM after dinner in the MK? We will probably leave in the afternoon on the 11th so we will really only have one night. Is the CP at Epcot a better bet?
Thanks for any insight- it will all be new with a child!

"babymoon"... I love it!! The Osborne Lights are spectacular and there is occasional snow as well -- definately don't miss that! The Candlelight Processional is beautiful, but we found the horns very, very loud and jarring. I'd go w/Osborne Lights, hands down.

Definitely do the Osbourne Lights at MGM - your DD will love them. I think she is too young for the CP - although beautiful - not really for young children. Just walking around seeing the Christmas decorations in the parks, including the giant decorated Christmas trees will be fascinating. This is a wonderful time of year to go - have a great time!

Ditto the Osbourne Lights and to avoid the CP at Epcot. Last year, we spent more time trying to entertain the kiddos than listening to the CP. Plus, if you don't have the CP dinner package, you don't have priority seating and are not "guaranteed" a seat. (You aren't really guranteed with the package). Although the CP was beautiful.

The Osbourne lights are beautiful. A good time to go is when others in the park are at Fantasmic. It is a little less crowded.

Have a great time!
