We are planning on going to WDW this Nov. It will be me,husband and 2 children under 3 yrs old. My question is this.....we are not big eaters, we are ok with grabbing a burger or sandwich. Would the ddp be anything we should consider??

Thanks:confused3

Since children under 3 are free at buffets, I would get the ddp and eat the table service at buffets. How old are your children? If they are eating table food, this would be a good bargain for you. There would be a variety of foods for them.

You are in for great treat if you opt for the DDP. Since you are only paying for you and your DH (kids free being under 3), take advantage of all the characters dining experiences in WDW. The tots will be on cloud nine. :cloud9:

2 children under 3. There is no dout you should do the DDP. If for no other reason but the fact that you can get the kids feed for free and you must take them to the charactor meals they will love them.
Have fun whatever you decide.

Whether you decide to do the plan or not~ If you want to take the shorties to a character meal (or 2 or 5:lmao:) Id do yourselves a favor and test out how they feel about huge costumed characters. The reaction isnt always:woohoo:and  At that age, it really could be:eek: or:scared:

At my local mall, theres a little character meet and greet every week. Ive been taking my 2y old since she was 10 months, so she wouldnt freak out so much on vaca  If this isnt offered in your area, maybe you could at least find a Chuck E Cheese? If the kiddos arent into the characters, you could at least seat them on the inside of tha table, away from the characters a bit, so they wont be so intimidating.
Have a wonderfull trip:wizard:

I'm with everyone else, I would get the DDP and eat at buffets. They could eat everything under the sun at a buffet and you would only be paying for you and hubby!

I really think that there are some wonderful dining experiences at WDW and the dining plan makes it easier/cheaper to get to experience some of those. Your kids being under 3 is a big plus because they can eat free from buffets so that is a savings right there.

However, if you feel that you would be spending less than $80 (the approximate cost for you and DH) a day to feed your family, then the DDP isn't a smart choice for you. Since the DDP is required for your entire stay, you will be "stuck" with a certain number of TS/CS meals. If you only want to do a few TS meals, you could still pay OOP to experience some of the neat places to eat and spend less than the cost of the DDP. You really need to calculate how many TS meals you would do (and how much those would be with tax & tip - because those are included with DDP) and add in your other costs (CS meals and snacks) to see if the plan would be worth it for you.

We really enjoy the dining plan but it isn't for everyone.

i would definately agree to do the DP. We went lastyear with my 3 yo and 1 yr old. they loved the characters diners and my 1 yo ate for free at the buffets and everywhere else we got so much food on the DP there was plenty to share. I think it would definately be worth it. me and my husband both are like you and would be fine just grabbing burgers but i have to say at the end of a long day at the park my belly was sure enjoying all the yummy food and desert at night. hope this helps
