DDP with resort change

Based on past experience, Not everyone necessarily, in your travelling party has to get the DDP if one does. I usually book 2 rooms, one for myself and another for my friends who are nonmembers. I can purchase the DDP while my friends are not required to. It is based by room not overall party. I currently have 2 rooms booked as usual with the DDP for myself only, but am thinking of switching to a tree house villa where everyone would be under the same roof.

Would they 1. require everyone else in the villa to purchase the DDP? 2. refund my DDP purchase? or 3. Leave it as is?

It would be a cancel and rebook so they will not leave as is. It would be all or none in the treehouse. Refund if you don't want it.

As noted, you couldn't leave as is. You'd either get it for everyone or for none with a refund assuming you did so at least 48 hours out. The only exception I can think of MIGHT be if you didn't make the reservation until after the 48 hr window and even then you'd likely just lose your DDP payment rather than it being transferred.
