We booked for october with a party of 8. Just wondering if we can add DDP and if what the restrictions are.

Does everyone in the room need to be on the plan?

Does it have to be for the full lenght of stay? (we are staying five days but some in the group want DDP for only 4)

Some of us already have our tickets through 10-day no-exp. from previous visits and some will be getting seprate ticket options. Just wondering if that will be an issue as well?

I know these might have already been on a faq but I could not access that page.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I believe you can add DDP anytime before you arrive, you pay for it at checkin. Everyone must be on it and it is for the length of your stay.

We will be using for the 1st time next week.

If you are a DVC owner, you can add DDP prior to arrival. Some reports say a minimum of three days before, others say five. I'd get it out of the way as soon as you're sure you want it.

If you are renting a DVC ressie, the owner you rent from will have to set up DDP for you -- as well as DME, room requests, etc. In that case, I'd allow more lead time. You don't want to leave it until the last couple of weeks and then encounter difficulties contacting the owner to get it done.

As noted above, either way you pay for it at checkin.

I agree, you will love it, it saves you a lot.

In DVC, park passes are not tied to the DDP. You will need seperate park media anyway. The "reservation" for DDP must be made by the DVC member about a week prior to the stay, and will cost about $39/day/person. ALL people in the unit must get it for ALL days of the reservation. No exceptions to that one. We have found that it saves us money because we like to do table service and especially signature restaurants. We usually end up with more counter service credits than we can use though, so we often "spend" counter service credits for snack type items like water, soda and Mickey bars.
