If I add the DDP to my reservation, when do I have to pay for it... At that time or at check in?

Also if I add it right before we leave does the same answer hold true?

THanks!

You pay for the whole party at check in, but you have to reserve it at least a few days ahead. I was able to add it for the extension of our trip just 24 hours ahead though, by calling MS.

You pay for it when you check in. I was told by MS that the DDP has to be booked at least 3 days before you check in. I've read on the boards that people have booked it last minute with no problem. You have to book through MS, you can't add it upon check in.

Have fun.

When I had it in Sept I wasn't actually charged for it until the bill settled at checkout. This past trip they went ahead and pushed the charge through on the day of check in which seems c/w what others have been finding.

Just wondering if DDP is limited to certain times of the year or is it available all year round to DVC members?

We are hoping to book for Christmas 2008 and would love to add it if it was available.

In theory it could end tomorrow. I think it's reasonable to expect it to continue through the end of 2007 but after that who knows. As with most Disney programs over the years, they come and go.

I seriously doubt it is going anywhere-at least for regualr WDW guests. Have you seen the push on it in the new year of a million dreams promo DVD?

What has changed though is that as of Jan 1, Adult and Child credits are SEPERATE. This has been reported on the DDP board by several dining CM's. They have also stated that any CM fuding the plan for a guest will get in serious trouble as all CM's will be audited. There are seperate keys for adult and childrens meals, and reciepts are breaking down the # of adult/child credits remaining for TS as well as CS. Meaning, you can not pay cash for your 5 year olds dinner at Kona and then treat Aunt Sally staying at the Days Inn to dinner at Le Celliar with your 5 year olds credit. If your card says 2A/3C, you can ONLY order 2A meals, period. The Cm's giving the info are TS CM's but, say the same will hold true for CS food as well. You can't order the double cheeseburger combo meal for your 5 year old (unless you want to use one of your adult credits to do it).

I don't know if any of this info will effect you and your planning, but I thought I'd share. I'm not sure how many DVC board people regularly check the DDP board. :)
