We are going 12/13 - 12/17; first night is cash, rest of the nights are DVC points. We have not done DDP in years but usually do have TIW. Party is 2 adults, one 12 yr old that likes adult food but does not eat alot (volume), one 8yr old and one 2yr old.

With Yachtsman Steakhouse on 12/13, Via Napoli on 12/14 and CA Grill on 12/16, do you see any benefit from doing DDP or just keep to TIW? Thinking of adding a couple more TS meals to the trip.

The "value" of a TS credit is roughly $37.50 (including tax), so the question for you is whether the bulk of your party will order $75 worth of food with just entrée, dessert, and drink at your two 2TS places. If not, I'd stick with the TiW. And with two 2TS meals, you'll be paying OOP somewhere for other meals.

Just noticed you only have 3 nights on the DDP, so unless your doing DxDDP, you only have 3 TS credits, and you've already allocated 5, so there's going to be even more OOP. You probably need to stick with TiW.

Thanks, Sharonabe!! I was thinking that TIW was probably the better way to go....Over the years the DDP made less and less sense in terms of value....
