I currently have the DDP for 8 days and my sister has it for 4 days. I was thinking about adding the Deluxe DDP to my reservation for the 8 days and canceling my sisters. This would give us the opportunity to have Apps with our meals and also have a sit down breakfast and sit down dinner each day. When doing the math though I would have 72 total dining credits for the 8 days. Then we after the reservations we currently have and adding in breakfast each day for 4 of us for 5 days and 3 for 3 days we still would have 14 credits left. Even if I change to some 2 credit meals I think we would still have to many credits left over. Does this sound right? Is it worth the additional cost of about $700 for 8 days of breakfast and one more snack per day? I couldn't even imagine being able to use 48 snack credits in 8 days either. Trying to see how to get the biggest bang for our buck but seems like after doing all that I might need to buy two seats on the plane to get back home :confused3

any help would be great. I am staying Oct 30 to Nov 7 but the 7th my flight is at 7 am so no time to eat prior

I think we need a little clarification. How many people are in each room? What are your current dining plans? If 72 credits are too many, can you reconfigure the people in your rooms to have fewer?

We have two rooms. 3 of us staying 8 days in one room and 1 person staying in the other room for 4 days. So it would be a total of 4 of us for 4 nights/5 days and then the 3 of us will be solo after that. Currently are dining plans are as follows:

Be Our Guest - Breakfast
Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package - Dinner
QS- Breakfast
QS - Late Lunch
Ohana - Late Dinner
Trail Ends - Breakfast - OOP
Coral Reef - Dinner
Tony's Package - Late Lunch
QS - late Dinner
QS - Lunch
Captains Grille - Dinner
QS - Lunch
50's Prime - Dinner
QS - Lunch
T-Rex Dinner
QS - Lunch
Be Our Guest - Dinner

If I did the Deluxe I would be adding breakfast TS to all meals and take out the QS. I would also change 50's Prime, Captains Grille, and T-Rex to Signature dining

Thanks for the help

We have the DxDDP for 7 days and we have for 2 adults and 2 children age 9 having 84 meal credits and 56 snack credits . We have reservations for the first few days and 2 of those are 2 credits . we didn't want to get bogged down with reservations so we decided to wing it the last 3 or 4 days and if we have any left we will just get some snacks to go . This will be the first time we are using the DxDDP we used the regular one before but we wanted to try this so we can get extra snacks and dine where we want too. The regular dining plan was well worth it for us so I am hoping this trip it is as well. And from what I have calculated through the dining plan calculator we will come out ahead a few hundred. by using this calculator it helped me to decide whether we should get it or not so we did.

I think I would go see what ADRs you can get and make sure it's what you want, not just getting them to use up the credits. Remember with the DxDDP, you do get the appetizer, so you may be able to stretch those credits even farther, but don't stretch them too far. You don't want to end up with leftover credits and you don't want to spend all your time eating.

You could keep the regular plan for the 8-night stay and do the DxDDP for the other one. That might give you the right amount of TS credits for the whole stay. Just remember to use all those DxDDP credits before she leaves. Come up with a new plan and see what you've got.
