DDP, split stay, confirmation?

Hi everyone,
We're getting ready for our trip and I wanted to see about one thing regarding our DDP.

We have a split stay - the first 3 nights at CSR + Basic DDP I booked and paid for myself, the second 3 nights at GF were booked by my parents through AMEX Travel. However, I booked our DxDDP for those 3 nights separately.

I've received confirmation for the entire CSR part of the trip (including confirmation that we will receive the DDP info when we arrive at CSR), I also have confirmation for the hotel at GF, but have not received a separate confirmation of our DxDDP which I booked separately. Will I receive something regarding the DxDDP in the mail do you think? (AMEX is closed tonight, but I'll call tomorrow if no one knows.)

I was not under the impression that you can book the dining plan separately from the room. It must be booked as part of a package reservation. Because the reservation was made through AMEX travel, you'd have to ask them.

We actually were able to "add" the DxDDP to our GF reservation because Mom added the insurance to make it a "package" because she told the AMEX Travel reservationist that we'd be adding the park tickets and DxDDP. I'll call tomorrow, hopefully they can answer my question. Thanks a bunch though!

Insurance is optional on a WDTC package. Maybe because she wanted insurance they do not sell it separate and it had to be a package, by their standards.
Either way, agree you need to contact the TA and sounds like that is what you will be doing.

Do you have tickets on the second res? If not then you do not have any dining plan on there. Its not an add on AT ALL. It has to be part of a MYW package. You better call AMEX and find out whats going on

and adding insurance does NOT make a package. Do you have the 3 letter code on the GF res? If its a room only you cant add disney insurance and you definately cant add the ddp to it

Thanks for everyone's suggestions - we spoke to AMEX today - everything is fine and confirmed.

FYI, yes, we were able to add the DxDDP to our GF hotel reservation made by my mother because she gave us the hotel only as a gift, AMEX allowed us to add the DxDDP and park tickets separately. The rep at AMEX did this because yes, adding the insurance made it a package by their standards.

well that just means they converted it from a room only into a MYW package
