DDP questions

Hi everyone. We're goin to to disney next month and i had a ?. We're on the ddp and i already have adr ,however I 'm not sure if I understand completely about the counter service meal. We wanted to eat lunch at tusker house @ AK is that on the plan and is there a certain amount not to go over? What are some counter service places you would suggest? and snacks can you get any snack i dont know much on the snacks either. all comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.. thank you.. My understanding is that the amount of the CS doesn't matter. When we went is Aug 05, our CS for one meal was $38. We just found it really hard to use snacks. There is a sticky on snacks. DH made it a point at a few places to order the most expensive thing on the menu just because he could. We really lived it up on the DDP.

You can eat at any counter service listed on the plan (which is pretty much all of them). Everyone on the plan gets a drink, entree, and dessert. Like at Tusker House (my favorite) I got drink, rotisserie chicken w/ vegetables, and carrot cake. For CS, I recommend Cantina in Mexico, the chinese CS was good also, there are several in the world showcase I want to try (everyone raves about Morrocco). In MGM, stay clear of ABC commisary - I have heard good things about Flatbread studio. In MK, we liked Pecos Bills, Columbia Harbor House, and I have heard that Cosmic Rays is good. In AK, Tusker House and Flame Tree Barbeque.

As far as snacks, it is pretty much anything under $4. Many people use the snack credits to pick up disney candy to bring back for souveniers. Below is a link that list snacks. Let me know if you cannot pull it up. I am not sure if I did the link right! I am a tech idiot! I got the list from here somewhere. It lists all the snacks you can get on the DDP all over WDW!

For counter service there is no price limit, for 1 CS credit you get an entree, drink and dessert or a combo meal, drink and dessert. You can order anything you want on the menu. Snack credits can usually be used for anything up to $4. See this thread for more about what counts as snacks in the World:

Also, Disney has a brochure you can print from their website that lists all TS and CS restaurants that accept the ddp. Good Luck!
