DDP question

Goin back to the world for a 8 day trip and meeting some family down there for 5 nights as well. Made dining reservations with them for the 5 days so we can all be together. My family is on the DDP and the family we r meeting are not, is this gonna cause any problem with when the check comes? Does the entire party have to be on DDP or can they split the check or how does it work when everyone dining together isnt on dining plan? I understand not sticking cash party with tip but dont wnna keep the ddp if half our meals wont be covered by it. Thanks

It won't be a problem. Just tell them before they bring the check.

No- just let them know. We had 10-( 3 groups), 2 on dining 1 not. They just brought seperate checks with the automatic tip added because of the large party.

Not a problem at all. I go to WDW several times a year and frequently meet up with other DISers down there to eat. Some of us will be on the DDP, some will have TiW, and some will just be paying regularly. We just all get separate checks. In the past they've even let the people I'm dining with use my TiW card to get 20% off their appetizers or alcoholic drink and let them use their DDP credits for the rest of their meal. The only thing is I have to pay for their discounted appetizer and beverage and they just pay me back as they would only take one form of payment for the TiW part of the bill and would not give separate tickets for that. When I was there this past Sept I ate almost every meal with three friends. Two had the DDP on their ressie, one had the DDP on hers, and then I used TiW. They just brought us three separate tickets.
