Can you use your CS credit in a WS restaurant and pay the difference?

We were thinking of OKW but if we wanted to go to Olivia's for breakfast sometimes and I think from what I have read it is WS. We would like to use of CS credit if possible on this so we can leave our WS credit for our evening meal.

You can only use table service credits for restaurants that have a sit down meal, which I think that breakfast would be, without checking. They wont let you upgrade and pay the different unfortunately

CS meals are for use in places like pick up breakfasts, caseys, cosmic rays, main street bakery etc.

Correct Olivia's is Table service credits only, can't use your CS credits there.
Breakfasts are poor value to use TS credits on.
This August we just have 1 breakfast planned, other mornings it will be the odd cinnamon roll and wait for lunch, I can never eat much before 12ish.

Disney will not let you use a CS credit for a Table Service (TS) restaurant. They will sometimes let you trade down (use a TS credit for a CS meal), but they will not allow you to trade up.

Breakfast is not a good use of the TS credit so many people pay OOP if they eat breakfast at a TS restaurant. Even a CS breakfast isn't the best use of a CS credit because you will get only the entree or breakfast plate and a beverage. There is no dessert component for breakfast.

you do get to choose another drink as your desert at breakfast on the CS credit and we found if we did this the snack credits we had could go on ice creams etc rather than buying drinks as we used the refill mugs at breakfast time and took the bottles of juice/soda with us to the parks. So two people got four bottles

They used to allow a second drink, but as of January 2011 they eliminated that component so it is now just the main dish and one beverage.

oh man that sucks oh well sorry was not aware of that they did in october last year.

Is it right that you get a refill mug with the normal DDP?

Refillable mug only comes with the QSDP and DxDDP, not with the regular one.

On a long stay it is usually well worth buying one anyway however, as it pays itself off very quickly and you get to keep a souvenir to take home with you :)

Yeah we have had the qsdp twice and loved the mug option on it. This year with being OKW and the normal DDP we were planning to buy one. It was just I read a comment on another thread and it said you got one with the normal DDP. Thanks for clearing that up.

If you mean the refilliable plastic one then no. You get it on the CS plan and deluxe but not the DDP

Yeah, people seem to get confused and mistakenly think that the mug was 'taken away' from the DDP. It has in fact never been offered. When the DxDDP was introduced the mug was added as part of that plan and then in 2009, when the QSDP was introduced, they put a mug in with that one as well.

I can quite see why Disney would not want to advertise that the mug is NOT INCLUDED in the regular DDP, but perhaps some fine print clarifying would eliminate at least some of the confusion.

If you fancy a nice breakfast for a Qs credit I can recommend Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. Will take you 2 mins in the car from OKW.

Omlette or choc chip waffles or breakfast pizza and a drink for a QS.
