DDP question

OK, suppose we (6) have the DDP, make appropriate ressies and all is a go. Then one person in party drops out of the entire trip, even before we have left our home state. Can we get $$ back from his DDP? Do we need to change ressies? What's your thoughts?

I don't understand, are you paying for that person? If it is just one person missing I would not change the reservation.

I wouldn't change the reservations. When you get there just tell them that one person decided to stay back at the room or whatever. One less person showing up won't be a problem.

A little confused as to your question, but I think I know what you mean.

If you have paid for the dining plan and 1 person doesn't go, then yes you want to cancel the dining plan for that person to get your money back on it.

Now if you have made ressies as any restaurant other than ones that require a CC hold (CRT, HDDR) you don't have to cancel the ressie as you are out no money. And if you show up with 1 less person at the restaurant there isn't a penalty.
But if you have booked and paid for a meal like CRT, then yes you need to cancel that person off the ressie and get a refund.

Assuming that you are buying the dining plan, no "free dining" involved. If you modify your reservation w/ CRO to have 1 less person & you are at least 30 (or is it 45?) days out, it should be fine & you should get the price of the DP refunded. If you modify the reservation after that, they can charge you "change fee." Depending on how long your trip is, it may or may not be worth it to you to change.

If you were talking about reservations at restaraunts, I wouldn't worry much about modifying them for 1 less person, unless they are the prepaid variety (CRT, the dinner shows, etc.) just let the host know when you check in at the podium what your current party size is.
