Have they started making us pay for the dining plan when we add it to our reservation yet? Does anyone know just when that will begin if not already?

No, and I haven't heard when they will begin taking payment at booking.

I recently made a reservation for February '11 at BLT and ask MS about the dining plans. She said that 2011 prices are not yet out but I should expect a small increase. She also said that I could call back and they could add the DP to my reservation up to 2 days before arrival. It is also my understanding that we can add the plan upon arrival? popcorn::

Unless the policy changes in 2011, you have to add it no later than 2 days before you arrive, which the CM did mention. You are not able to add it when you arrive.

rlduvall, thanks for the clarification. I now know to take of such things prior to arrival.

When we made a booking for someone they asked for DDP to be added, they paid for it on arrival at resort.

The requirement to pay for DDP when adding it to your reservation is being implemented sometime in the Fall of 2010, exactly when is TBD. The old way of paying upon arrival at the resort will then be phased out over the course of months with existing reservations paying on arrival and new ones upon adding it.

I am going to add the DDP onto my resv and try to get a Via Napoli ADR tomorrow morning!

Its so convenient to pay for this when you arrive so you can take it out of your spending money but I guess in the long run it wont matter. I just liked the ease of it that way.
