DDP question

We have a friend joining us when we go to HDDR . Since we, mom and me , have the ddp, we will be using it for the 2 of us and our friend will be paying for his own. My question is can we ask for separate bills? Will they care?

When your waiter comes to the table, tell him that 2 of you have the DDP and the other does not. You will get a bill that totals up the three meals, subtracts the two DDP's and leaves the balance for the third person in your party to pay. If you are ordering alcoholic beverages (other than beer or sangria that is included in the meal price) you will have to ask for a separate bill, unless you want to split the "beverage" bill three ways.

Just tell your server first thing, and you will have no problems.

We ate last month with my in-laws for a few meals - we were on one dining package and they on another, so we just got separate checks. And once my dad and his wife joined us, and I wanted to pay cash for them. Again, no problem - I got a separate check for their two meals.
