Dear friends,

Has anyone been able to talk themselves into less DDP than for the length of stay? For example, I'm staying 9 nights can I weasel my way to 8 or 7 DDP nights?

Comments/experiences please.

Mike

Only if you have seperate ressies. We don't think the dining plan makes much sense for us because of that. We are only two of us, and we find the DDE card works best for our needs.

You'd have to break your stay into two separate reservations. And then you could only use the dining plan on the days that you have it connected to your reservation. So, if you only buy the plan for the first 7 nights of your stay and then book an extra 2 night reservation without the dining plan, you will not be able to use any leftover credits for those last two days - they will expire the evening (not sure of the exact hour they expire) following the last night they are connected with.

Your DP credits expire at midnight the day of your checkout (first reservation) so you could stretch the credits to use that day.

The DDP is effective from the time you check in until midnight on the day you check out. Since it's a good amount of food, depending upon how you use it, you could be left with credits upon check-out, to use that afternoon/evening. You would have to break your ressie into two separate ones; one with DDP and one without it.

We had a situation kind of like that on our Sept trip. We had a MYW pkg during free dining, and then decided to add on two non-pkg nights at Poly on the end of our stay. We had some CS and Snack credits left, and used them late the afternoon we checked out of CBR and into Poly. A couple days without the DDP would be a nice way to do some things that aren't included on it, like Tea at the Garden View lounge, or some of the DTD places for example.
