DDP question for a travel agent

Hi all,

I am going to the F&WF in October and my DBFs brother and GF would love to go. She is a travel agent and has a discounted room and ticket, but cannot get the DDP.

Does anyone know how they can benefit from the DDP??? Who can we call??

The DDP is only available on packages, so if she is booking her room and ticket as individual components, she can't get the DDP. If she is booking them together as a package, she should be able to add the DDP, it just wouldn't be free. Only one discount can be applied to a package, so she would either have to pay full rack rate for the room to get the free DDP, or get a room discount and pay for the DDP.

Considering the rates they sometimes give TAs..

1. take the $ it costs to buy DDP
2. Buy a gift card with the money
3. Eat, pay with gift card
4. Spend leftover on whatever

Honestly, the DDP is not that good a deal. And for Food/Wine I really don't get it. I can make several meals off of the booths at Epcot and don't need a sitdown meal every day.

If she gives up her TA rate there is NO benefit to the DDP.

If she's getting the TA discount on the room and tickets then she's booked everything separately. Every once in a blue moon they'll give TA's a package discount but it's been a while. Tell her to just pay for her meals and eat what she wants. The DDP doesn't do much for the food booths anyway unless you're redeeming snacks!

1) DDP is subsidized by the hotel.
2) FREE-DDP is actually fully paid by the hotel, not the restaurants.
3) So, hotels do not like to give room discounts AND pay for DDP.
