DDP paying for some and ts for others

We have been going through our list of dining spots and have realized that we will be 3 short for the 4 of us. I We were going to pick the cheapest place we are eating and pay for 3 and use 1 TS credits to come out even at the end. wasn't sure how that would work with the gratuity and taxes. Does this make sense??

When using the DDP for anyone at the table, be prepared for the other ordered items to have an automatic 18% tip added to them.

It does make sense and you should be able to do that without a problem. Just let the server know at the beginning how you plan on using your credits.

And good point,. check the receipt to see if the gratuity was added on or not, hate to double tip!
