I guess I meant the Disney Rewards Redemption Card. It has no name on it. My DSIL has the Disney Visa and just used her redemption card to pay for their portion of the TS meals.

Hmm.. you're right. I just looked at my Redemption card and you're right! It doesn't have a name on it. Maybe it was our credit card then. I can't remember. But they wouldn't take it cause the name didn't match. So it must have been my credit card then.

The expiration date of the TIW seemed so inconsistent, so I wrote an email to WDW Guest Satisfaction about it. This is what they told me: "As I stated in the message I left you earlier, your Tables in Wonderland expiration date should be 1 year plus 1 month from the date of purchase."

They have opened a case for me and on my next visit (which is June) they will extend the card expiration date to the correct date.

Wow! They really listened to my concerns. Walt Disney World is awesome! Now, if we could get the airlines to care about their customers.

Unless you have multiple children who are age 3-9 and are good eaters, but won't be hungry later, DDP is a fat waste of money. TIW is good at many of the same places DDP is, you can eat what you want and not have to worry about getting your money's worth, if you want an appetizer or adult beverage, you get the same discount, if you don't want dessert, don't order it and it puts your 18% gratuity on (we've left more if our service has been great) and ultimately, when you really run the numbers, TIW comes out way ahead!

We are lushes who eat signature each night and CS each day. DDP doesn't work, TIW is awesome.

Thank you for posting, I will try emailing as well. I realized there is a chance I might possibly use my TiW card if it expires at the end of Feb 2014 since my son's school band may be performing at WDW next February.

I'm happy to help. The people on Disboards have saved me lots of money and headaches over the past few years. I'm glad I can share some info that may help others.

We use TIW because every time I run the numbers, it saves us the most. I also think we eat a little healthier not using the DDP too! (We split a dessert instead of each having one and I don't order soda just because it's included.)
We do however use the DDP when we go with extended family. It's just easier than splitting the check.

This sounds like DH and me. We like to eat at the signature restaurants and when on vacation if we want an adult beverage we are going to have one. The idea of spending less than $500 on food and drink in a week at Disney is foreign to us, so TIW is a life saver. It's even better when we get a second (or even third) trip on a single card because at that point it's all savings.

We were always fans if the DDP and used it very time until our last trip. I liked that it was prepaid, etc. in the beginning of our times there, tips were included. Then they took that away Lang with appetizers, etc. last year we bought TIW. We broke even in one trip and will be using it again this summer. I feel like we eat better with TIW. Who needs dessert with every meal? The prices of both keep going up, so who knows what the best deal is....

The Deluxe DP was great for signatures before the price increase. Now not so much.
