I can't decide which on to choose for our trip? I have used the DDP once before and it worked out well, although i'm not sure how much we 'saved'. This year it's going to be me and the three kids and my sister who's almost as picky as a kid.
I really did love the chance to sit and eat a good meal once a day while on vacation but i feel like we can prolly do this at counter service places as well. I'm trying to keep this trip on a budget but also feel like it may be one of the last trips me and the kids take just because ds is getting older and stuff.

My thought on the QSDP is that it's not that much cheaper than the DDP. For the price difference, I'd rather go with DDP & have that one TS meal per day. We considered all this when booking our upcoming trip, too. Then we lucked out and the free dining offer was released.

We have used both and love both. In the heat of the summer trips, we tend to eat less, and the QSDP works better, In the fall and winter, we enjoy the TS and also do this if we are traveling with more people. Think you will be happy with either one, and there are plenty of great QS options!

If you really want TS meals, spend the extra $11 per night for those over 9.

If you really need to keep it to a tight budget do what you need to do. Also keep in mind that the trip is next spring, perhaps you can do some projects to come up with the extra cash for the plan if you really want it. You may also be able to shift some of the spending money to pay for the dining plan if your kids ask for Disney gift cards for Christmas. Just a few options if you really want those meals, but not sure where or how to come up with the extra funds.

total funds would be $55 per day for all of us. that's not to bad but i'm mostly worried about my sister and ds being able to find something they like at the ts resturants. i think i will have my sister look over the menus then plan accordingly thanks for the suggestions! :)

Your siggy shows 2 of your kids are under 10? There is no price difference for them, just you, your sister and your 10 yr old. So $33/day.

If you decide to do the DDP be sure to work in buffets. The kids will get to have anything on the buffets, not just what is in the kids section. I have eaten at Boma(B &D), Chef Mickey's (B), and Crystal Palace(D) and we have had excellent choices at each. My nephew is picky, but always found some things and has been able to get enough while we are there.

Given that you'll have 10 days of Disney dining it will be nice to work in some variety. Good luck and keep asking questions if you need help.
