DDP or not?

Just wanted to know if the DDP was worth the cost? I have looked at some menus at various restaurants and it would be fine for DH and myself, but my DS(8) is not a picky eater. He loves a wide variety of foods. If I go with the DDP and he has to eat from the child's menu, I see mainly mac 'n' cheese, chicken fingers, hamburger, pizza, pb&j. I don't think I want him eating these items for 5-6 days. Are there other restaurants that I am missing that may offer better menus for a child?

The buffet restaurants - he can eat from the adult side Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey. 50's prime time offer fish of the day, Coral Reef also offers Mahi Mahi

Our granddaughter is not a picky eater either and loves fish brussel sprouts broccli etc and she is able to find something good at the restaurants usually

The Garden Grill(Epcot) and the Liberty Tree Tavern (MK) offer family style meals where the kids eat the same as the adults. Also Teppan Edo has an interesting kids menu.

At Animal Kingdom there is Tusker House buffet. And the Ohana breakfast (Poly) is family style as is the Ohana dinner.
