We just got back from WDW. We did the DDP. Although it was nice to not have to worry about prices, it was entirely too much food. Also, I wasn't a big fan of always cutting our afternoons short to get ready for an ADR. We are contemplating not doing ddp next time. Just doing mostly counter services and maybe one sitdown. Any help would be appreciated. I figured if we did counter services at $8/person per meal for all lunches and dinners. Did 2 sitdowns for $100 total. That would save us about $300. Anyone agree or not?
Thanks!

Right Now Being It's Only Me And Dw The Ddp Is Great , Yes A Lot Of Food But The Planing Ahead Is Fun Also And As Long As You Get The Adr's Out At 180 Days.
When We Use To Take Are Ds20 And Dd19 Before They Were In College Where Ever They Got Hungery That Is Where We Had To Stop So Back Then It Never Would Have Worked Out (also The Place Had To Have Chicken Fingers). Later In The Day We Also Would Drive Over To Kissimmee And Go To Tgif For A Few Of The Dinners. If You Want To Save And You Drove To Disney There Are Many Places Outside Of Disney That Are Cheaper To Eat At.

I sat down with the menus from each restaurant we're going to and did the math...I won't bore you with too many details, but for 2 adults and 1 child, what we would "normally order" for sit down/counter/snack each day came to $550 with tax & tip. What we would order on the DDP came to $700. The plan would cost $540, so I figure we might as well do it and try things we wouldn't usually splurge for. You don't have to eat it all, right? :rotfl2: However, if you don't do a character meal/sit down each day, it's not worth it. Too many buffets or lunches also lessen the value. So if you go with DDP, make your reservations!
