DDP on arrival?

I am renting point to stay at Old Key West and we would like to purchase the DDP. On the confirmation letter it says "you MUST purchase it before arrival" but when I asked the person I purchased points from he said I can do it on arrival. Am I going to have problems if I wait till we arrive or should I pursue that the DVC member request it prior to arrival?

You have to request it prior to arrival but you don't have to pay for it until check in.

You CANNOT add the DDP to a DVC reservation at check-in.

You must do it before you get there. I would contact the member you are renting from and ask them to call and have it added to your reservation.

You do pay for it upon check-in, and everyone in your party must be on the plan for the full stay.

Yes, this is a must! It has to be added before arrival. Call who you are renting from and inform them of this of you will not get the DDP. Member Services will tell them the dollar amount that you will owe at check in.
