I heard about this on disboards--then it happens to us. We checked out of AKV at 11 AM, but planned to eat later on DDP that night, and our keycards had no value left on them. I found out early, luckily, when I tried to grab a snack at Kidani. I walked over to front desk, they assured me 4 meals and 4 snacks left, then I tried again, no luck. AKV Desk manager said there is a glitch in the system and it wipes out credits when you check out--even though they are still there--only option was to pay cash and bring all receipts back to front desk--which we did--but what if I was in the parks and that had happened? Or at a restaurant not at AKV? For us, no big dea, we were eating at Bomas that night. But just a head up to others--try to buy a snack right after you check out to see if you card still works! FYI-- AKV front desk was very gracious and gave us a nice gift without any suggestion by me for our trouble.

There is a way that the restaurants can make this work. A couple days before Christmas this happened to us because we were doing a split stay. The restaurant called AKL front desk and all was well.

This happened to us as well on our stay over Christmas that had been broken into two parts b/c of the waitlist. When we checked in our key cards contained our whole length of stay as well as all of our dining credits. So boy were we surprised in the afternoon of our fourth day of when we were trying to get lunch at Wolfgang Puck's our meal was denied for the dining plan!!! Ugh! We went over to Guest Services at DisneyQuest and they could see we really had not checked out even though that is what the computer system thought and was why all of our dining credits were erased. They told us they could not issue the new cards but that our resort - BLT could.

So when we came back to BLT we explained the problem and they apologized and told us they would of course reimburse us and correct the problem. They said there was some computer glitch that caused this problem with several plans. They gave us new key cards that were loaded back up again....or so they thought.

Anyway we went on our way to our HDDR reservations which was oop and already paid for anyway, thank goodness. While we are eating dinner I get a call from CR/BLT check-in apologizing that our "new" cards would not work still as they could not reroute the the glitch like they thought and they were going to have to re-input our whole room and dining reservation from scratch. When we came back and they explained no need to hurry we would need to pick up more "new" keys that would be competely reloaded with all or our dining credits and they were also reimbursing us $200.00 for the inconvenience! That was unexpected - but we were very happy about it!!!

During the whole problem the CR/BLT desk was very sympathetic and gave great customer service. Hopefully they get the glitch all worked out.

Yep we were told the day after Christmas that they still have not fixed the glitch. We had planned to checkout and drive over the the BC for our Cape May cafe breakfast but since they said we would probably have to pay cash for the meal or charge it to the room and the go back to OKW and they would reimburse us or credit our card. We were driving home that day and didn't need the extra hassel since we already were driving into blizzard back home we canceled the ADR and went to Olivia's before check out. So not our goodbye character breakfast but we had too many other things to worry about. I am hoping they fix the glitch before we go in March since we ahve a split stay we plan on doing the DDP for part of it and nothing the rest.

When we were there in October, their system wiped out our 10 day no expire Park Hopper tickets that I had placed on our room key from the paper ones I had bought from Undercover Tourist. Fortunately I had taken a picture of the paper ones before I threw them away, "just in case"...

It was so bad we too had our ressie and ddp wiped and rebooked to fix it. It took them about 2.5 hours on our last full day to fix it. My wife started crying at the front desk of the CR at about hour 2 she was so frustrated. They were going to give us I think $100-$200 cash credit on our tab but then changed it to 12 separate non expiring PH tickets (2 for everyone on our ressie) which to us was way better then the credit considering the cost of park tickets these days!

We had problems at AK last week too. My husband couldn't use his KTTW card for anything but getting into the room. He tried to use it for the DP and it said he was an invalid traveller. The front desk replaced his card two times over a few days and none worked. Their suggestion, make sure he had another form of payment with him. Not sure why they couldn't fix it, they blamed it on the computer as usual. :headache:

We had several issues during our recent stay at OKW. One of which included our remaining snacks and quick service meals not being available after checkout. We were also charged double for our dining plan and had to jump through hoops to prove it to the front desk. Then...there were the boarding pass issues.
We got nothing for the time we spent during our vacation (which was a great deal) trying to remedy "their" glitches.
It was our first trip after becoming members and to say the least I am disillusioned!

Our concierge at AKL gave us a better solution than to carry a second form of payment. He gave us a phone number that would reach the front desk of AKL directly and made sure that there was a note on our screen about the problem. We only had to worry about the rest of that day and two more meals after the problem was discovered.
