I think it depends entirely on how you like to eat when you go to WDW. If you like to eat one TS (or character meal) per day, you're going to have to make ADRs anyway, so I don't see how DDP would be more stressful. Unless you're a person who would worry about how much extra the tips are going to cost, and how you're going to pay them. That could be stressful for some.
If the tipping question doesn't bother you, I'd take a realistic look at the costs and benefits and make a sound financial decision -- it might save you money, it might not. For many, buying DDP and realizing halfway through the trip that you're NOT saving money would be very stressful!
People who wouldn't normally use their allocation of TS credits have never been good candidates for DDP, although a lot of them have bought it.
People who like to "wing it" are certainly not prime candidates for DDP because they stand to lose credits, or get forced to bus across WDW to a restaurant where nobody else wanted to eat, because they don't have ADRs.
