Over and over again I've read that the DDP is too much food but I gotta tell you, for our family it was JUST RIGHT. We DIDN'T think it was too much food!

*We used our CS at lunchtime around 11'ish when the lines for rides got long. (We're not breakfast people and prefer to ride rides while the lines are short.)

*We used our TS at dinner between 6-7. Even though you get an appetizer, entree and dessert, which SOUNDS like a lot of food, we thought the portion sizes were all "smallish" and very doable in our opinion. We never left stuffed or feeling that we had overeaten.

*We each ate one snack per day. Sometimes we used our snack credit in the morning for a pastry, other times we used them mid day for a drink or ice cream, or a make your own creation at Goofy's :thumbsup2 , but mostly we used our snack credits for a late night treat when we returned to our hotel food court (hey its vacation right?).

*We were never hungry, nor were we ever too full.

(And just in case you are wondering....We are not large people, we watch what we eat at home about 80% of the time, and we eat healthy portion sizes.)

Our usual routine was this: My dh slept in and used one CS for breakfast while the kids and I did the early morning thing. The kids had a snack sometime during the morning, then we hooked up with dh and had a CS lunch together (splitting 2 or 3 meals). We had (TS) dinner ADR's every night, usually around 5:00, and used another snack credit for an evening treat. Like you said, it worked out perfectly for us--I never felt hungry, and we still had a couple of extra snack and CS credits on the last day.

I just don't see all the complaints about "too much food." For sure, some of the meals, both TS and CS, were pretty big, but that was part of the fun. Conversely, I know a lot of people worry about feeling hungry with only two meals a day, but it really was the perfect amount, both food-wise and time-wise. I was almost never hungry for even a snack, much less another meal, and wouldn't have wanted to take the time out of the day to sit through another meal anyway.

So we're big fans of the DDP as well, and are always glad to hear positive reviews about it!

We had 7 days (14) worth of snack credits and we did not use one, which surprised me. I thought for sure my husband would get at least 1 Mickey Bar, but he didn't. We brought home lots of treats to share and our last mint smoothie is 1/2 gone. They lasted 3 weeks!

We did the DDP a little different this year and I agree, it was not too much food.
