Thanks for the replies. As Michael said, since my reservations are linked I would have to get DDP for the entire stay. I just confirmed that with MS...though I call and ask again in a week or two.![]()
BillJust call MS and tell them to unlink your reservations. On each reservation reference the others so the room assigner knows that you want to stay in the same room. We have done this a couple of times and didn't have to change rooms.

If you do decide to get the DDP just for one day, I'd consider getting the Deluxe plan, because of the following:
DDP is valid from your check-IN for that night (which would be in the AM), and remains in effect until midnight of your check-OUT day...which would be the following midnight. So you could spread your DDP credits over two full days, if you wanted.

This would require you to at least check in and out for each reservation wouldn't it even if you don't have to move? I'd find that cumbersome just to have the dining plan for 1 day.

Bill.A split stay is a great time to do the DDP. You could have the deluxe plan for a day or the QS plan, and/or the regular plan for other days. We like to have the DDP at the beginning of our stay and use the credits for the most expensive restaurants to get the best value.

This is our plan except to do the DDP during the second half because we'll be celebrating my middle DD's bday and Hanukkah for two of the nights.![]()
