I forgot to ask about the FL discount plan as well. Would that be better for us? Does each of us need the discount plan?
I assume this means the Disney Dining Experience Card (DDE), which is available only to Annual Pass owners and Florida residents. I believe the prices are $65 for AP holders and $75 for Florida residents. Actual proof of FL residence is required for the FL card.
The DDE card is good for about 13 months from purchase, so you can use it for multiple trips. In addition, one DDE card can be used for
up to ten people, as long as you're all dining together on the same check. (You can settle out the bill later among yourselves)
The DDE gives you a 20% discount on ALL food and beverage, including alcohol. It is good primarily only at TS venues, although some CS venues might accept it. There are also a few holiday blackout dates when DDE is not accepted.
ALL DDE checks, regardless of party size, will include an automatic 18% gratuity added in 2008.
With DDP (or any other payment method), only parties of six or more will have 18% added to their bills.
