DDP for 1 night stay w/o package?

We have reservations in early December for 1 night at ASM before checking in to OKW (DVC) for 7 nights. We already have our tickets from UT.

Can you only get the dining plan if you buy a package (hotel/tickets/dining)? I wasn't sure if we would be able to buy the quick-service dining plan for one night.

If you call, they should be able to change it to a ticketless package to include the dining plan for that one night.

Dining Plan can be bought and added to any onsite room reservation.

I think the confusion comes from Free Dining, where typically to qualify you’d need to buy tickets as well.

You have to call. Why not do the table service one? Then make sure it’s your most expensive meal possible such as a character meal or something. You also get both days to use all the credits.

Is it confusing to do a dining plan for 1 night if checking into another resort with dining plan the next day?

Thinking about adding 1 night with QS (Wednesday) before my current check-in day (Thursday) so that I can go to the water park on my check in day at 2nd resort (Thurs). I currently have the TS dining with 2nd reservation. I won’t arrive Wednesday night until around 9 so I would only use my QS for water park and either breakfast that morning or QS at 2nd resort that night (Thursday). If I use the QS credits for water park and dinner at 2nd resort will that be too confusing and mess up my QS credits for my TS dining plan at 2nd resort?

I’ve done this often… one night ressie with DP before moving to longer resort ressie. Never an issue using credits through the second day. Don’t forget the refillable mug is good for length of stay! It’s really a great deal

This was the only reason my group would have done this, lol. OP, here. We decided not to do the 1 night dining plan but it is a tough decision. OKW is not the best resort to use the refillable mug (as compared to a resort with a lobby near the room). We all usually try to be economical so it still seemed like a lot of money to dish out, but I guess we'll see what we actually spend on the 24 hours of food that we would have used it for. We still have time to change our minds...
