does the DDP come free for DVC guests? we are staying at SSR Oct 12-16 and our reso stated that we have the premium ding plan but shows no cost anyone know?

Nope, it's never free for DVC members. You pay when you arrive at the resort.

If you decide not to have the dining plan, make sure you call MS to cancel the plan prior to arriving at your resort.

Are you on a cash package reservation that includes free dining? (That sounds like what you've got?). If you're a DVC member on points, free dining is not included. Just call the number listed on your rez to find out (altho be prepared to spend quite a bit of time on the phone -- 15-20 minutes).

If you are staying at SSR on points rather than cash, you can't get the premium dining plan...only up to the deluxe meal plan. We tried to get the premium plan and were told by two different people at MS (two different times...just to make sure) that DVC cannot get the premium plan. So you might want to double check what your reservation is actually for.
