DDP - dining time question!

We try to have one TS a day. The first time we did the dining plan, I scheduled reservations for mid afternoon, but I found if we did that, no one ate a quick service, so we ended up not using them all.

So, I'm trying to decide if we should have a reservation at lunch time (noonish) then maybe by evening everyone will want a quick service meal. Or schedule a late supper and have quick services for lunch?

Breakfast will likely be a snack, like a pastry or something quick in the park.

Just curious what everyone else does to get the most out of their dining plan!

Economics aside, I've always found a TS lunch to be a nice mid-day break. Depends a lot on your touring strategy and time of year, plus the specific habits of the people in your party.

Whether lunch or dinner, schedule it for the normal time your family eats a large meal (in US dinner is often the larger meal but that is the opposite in some other countries). People will be most hungry when they are used to eating.

I agree that to get the best bang for your buck, snack for breakfast, QS for lunch, TS for dinner is the best option.

We don't consider how to maximize the dining plan when we do our own planning, so for us, we will do TS as a pre-park opening breakfast or for dinner. We opt for QS lunch because it's fast and easy, and we can eat on the fly depending on where we are and when we feel hungry. TS breakfast gets us in the park early and fills us up for a good part of the day. A TS dinner is usually what we do to relax at the end of the night after a busy day in the parks.
