DDP/CRT/Disney Reward Dollars

For our trip this October we have the Basic DDP (TS+QS+Snack). We are eating at CRT for breakfast and I planned to pay OOP for this meal using my Disney Reward Dollars. When I made the CRT reservation online I had to enter a credit card number to reserve the meal which I assume is because I chose not to link my DDP to my dining reservations (since I knew I didn't want to use TS credits for this meal). My CC has not been charged yet. I vaguely remember last year that my CC was charged when I made the reservation (and we had the DDP last year too).

Anyhoo --- how will this all work when we actual go to the breakfast? Do I just tell the waiter at the start of the meal that I am paying OOP with Disney Reward Dollars? Is this going to make things confusing? I know it is for me!
