Hi there, I'm new to this forum so I apologize if this is a silly question. We are all set for our trip in September. The evening that we arrive, I made reservations for Backyard BBQ at our AAA travel agent's suggestion. We have the DDP with 1 quick service meal, 1 waiter service meal and 1 snack. Does Backyard BBQ count as 1 or 2 credits? I've seen posts where it's listed as 2, but our agent is telling me that it is one. We booked in March of this year. Just trying to plan accordingly. TIA!!

Are you flying in? If so, what is the time between when you land and the BBQ? I worry about ADR's on arrival day if there is not ample time between arival and dinner.

Yes, we are flying in. Arrival time is 9am, with 5:30pm reservations. This seems like enough time in between? Barring any issues with airlines/planes, of course.

That is comfortable for me. I like at least 4 hours.

Better hope nothing happens with the flight. We never plan a dinner show arrival day. Too much can go wrong with flights.

Your agent needs to do some research before giving out bad advice. I would suggest checking the Disney website to make sure nothing else is being misrepresented.

There are definitely things that I have been disappointed in. We used AAA for our honeymoon (that was a 2 week trip with one being spent in Disney) and had no issues. This is a bit different. I've been going over everything to be certain that there are no other issues.

While you have plenty of time between your flight arrival time and dinner, be aware that if there are major travel or weather problems like the recent Southwest computer outage and you miss the reservation your credit card will be charged the full cost of the dinner. I am sometimes willing to take my chances with a regular dining reservation, but never with a dinner show that costs around $60 per adult.

In ten years I have never had an issue, so I would be okay with a four or five hour window. We usually have longer though. I will admit to cringing when we booked SOA, I would have cried!

I have a lot to think about. I certainly don't want to pay for this meal if we can't make it. Thanks for your input, everyone!!!

I guess your best option is to bus to MK and boat over to Fort Wilderness. Factor in over an hour for this. Nice boat ride though...
